August brings in a new month with all new holidays and special occasions. August 1st is National Girlfriends Day, the first Sunday of the month is National Sister Day, National Friends Day and American Family Day with National Golf all month long. Wear lighter colors for the hotter summer months. The flowers of the month are gladiolus and poppy.

July 4th is red, white and blue, the month of July is Ruby red and the color of the year is Very Peri, like a Periwinkle Blue flower. Summer brings the hot months so lighter colors are best outdoors.
